Hummer | super speed cars

GeigerCars.de have released the details of their Hummer H2 Kompressor | super speed cars called Latte Macciatto. We’re not sure about its name, but we’re sure the GeigerCars Hummer H2 Kompressor has the right amount of power and torque and the looks to make itself noticed anywhere it goes. The GeigerCars Hummer H2 Kompressor has received a supercharger which takes the power output up to 547 PS at 5900 rpm and 763 Nm of torque at 4500 rpm.
With the new found juice, the GeigerCars Hummer H2 Kompressor can accelerate from 0 to 100km.The GeigerCars Hummer  H2 Kompressor is also fitted with all the bling a rap artist could think of: 30-inch chrome rims, a brown and crème-beige color combination, Alcantara and leather and a DVD player with a roof-mounted monitor. The GeigerCars Hummer H2 Kompressor also comes with Brembo brakes, a stainless steel sports exhaust system, additional stabilizers, rear axle struts and adjustable sports shock absorbers and a lowered ride height. The market for American cars has fallen into a sort of lethargy since the insolvency of Chrysler  and General Motors. Vehicles like the new Cadillac CTS-V or the new Camaro only find their way over the big pond on the initiative of specialized dealers. But despite the crisis and the uncertain future of the American automobile industry, the fan base has not shrunk at all, in contrary the US car scene is as lively as ever.
Karl Geiger, the founder of GeigerCars.de in Munich, has been importing, tuning and customizing American vehicles for more than 30 years. Thanks to a perfect network, the newest models are always available as the first in Europe on the large site in Truderinger Strasse, despite the stuttering US market. One major enthusiasm of the Bavarian is and remains customizing, and once again Karl Geiger has achieved a masterpiece with this Hummer H2 conversion. The paintwork answers to the name “Latte Macciatto” and is a mix of a noble brown as the base color with many contrast.elements in crème-beige. The combination of wheels and tires is exclusive, with 315/30R30 tires on gigantic 30-inch chrome wheels. Behind the almost full wheel rims are Brembo brakes with 380 X 34 mm riveted brake discs and 4-piston calipers at the front, and 380 X 32 mm discs with 2-piston calipers at the back. The chassis receives additional stabilizers, rear axle struts and adjustable sports shock absorbers, including lowering, which is certainly a good idea in view of the extremely high performance of the Geiger Hummer H2.As is traditional, Geiger has fitted the Hummer motor with a supercharger, which increases the power to a full 547 PS at 5900 rpm and the maximum torque to a brutal 763 Nm at 4500 rpm. So the US giant covers the classical sprint from 0 to 100 kmh in slightly less than 7 seconds, and the forward urge is only gently held back by the air resistance at 228 kmh. In order that the outside world notices the H2 not only visually but also aurally, a special in-house stainless steel sport exhaust system gives out a real thunder.

Hummer History: The Wind-Down Begins

It's the end of the trail...or maybe the Starbucks' parking lot...for Hummer. After a couple of brief blips on the EKG, General Motors is saying there's no future and has begun the official wind-down.

Kegger At The Sierra Club: GM Kills Hummer

Automotive News (you can register for free) broke the story late Wednesday that Hummer is history. After two years on the block and a thisclose deal with a Chinese manufacturer, the deal just couldn't be done. GM says Sichuan Tengzhong Heavy Industrial Machines Co. Ltd. was "unable to complete the acquisition", and so they'll wind down the brand.

It's hard to remember now, but Hummer was white-hot when it first hit showrooms in the early '00s. Its peak sales year was 2006, when 71,524 of them found homes, largely in suburbia.  The economy in general and gas prices in particular slammed the brakes on...with only 9,046 sold last year.

HUMMER's trucks, 4X4 vehicles and luxury SUVs combine off-road capabilities and interior comfort, creating the ultimate in rugged sophistication.

Hummer is a brand of off-road vehicles sold by General Motors (GM). The original H1 was based on the military High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV, or Humvee). However, the Hummer H2 and the Hummer H3 were based on other, smaller civilian-market vehicles.

As of August 2008, Hummer is the only brand in the United States whose entire model range lineup comes standard with a low-range transfer case, relatively high-ground clearance, and off-road tires. Additionally, no two-wheel drive Hummers are offered at this time.
