Thrush pipes and mufflers advertising of the early 70's

The ridiculous and rated R ads have been added to,

For the posts that have been added to about the bikini models endorsing mufflers: http://justacarguy.blogspot.com/search/label/Mufflers and http://justacarguy.blogspot.com/search/label/rated%20R
Some of the posts fall into both catagories, some only belong in one, like the Shelby parts ads, or the rims and wheels ads

Doug Thorley mufflers, the Muffettes and The Super Muff QT (who would be interested without the double entendre and bikini model?)

Doug Thorley Street and Show Tubes, proof that advertising is knowing your audience, using bikini models to sell exhaust systems to hot rodders

Carroll Shelby advertising you've never seen.

Shelby rims... and tires? Never heard they were made! I bet if anyone has these they are highly prized!
What? What the hell? Muscle car specialist? Not what I consider Carroll, not for a minute. Sports car hero for sure, the Cobra, the 65 - 66 GT 350, the Shelby Viper.... these are what is is most instantly known for, but not muscle cars.

Hope you enjoy these diversions from photography.
And for Team Shelby... yes I have the "Pit Stop" ad also: http://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2006/11/this-goes-to-show-how-far-greats-will.html

ridiculous use of sexy models to sell rims, mufflers, and car parts.

B&M racing transmission advertising circa 1972, this would never get approved now

Doug Thorley headers, amusing twist to advertising for muscle cars or mini cars
